Our Mission: The Honablue Institute of Audio Engineering (THI) is an audio engineering school which strives to provide quality professional instruction in the field of Audio Engineering. THI’s curriculum offers a comprehensive education in sound recording, mixing, mastering and digital audio, with extensive hands on training. Today’s digital audio platforms are based on concepts which were developed and brought to maturity on analog equipment. THI emphasizes the fundamental understanding of working with analog mixing consoles, tape machines, and outboard effects, which then deepens the understanding of the operation and terminology of the digital platforms. As a professional recording studio, students of THI are provided with the opportunity to learn engineering in real world situations with live musicians, not just simulated recording environments with pre-recorded audio files. Upon graduation students are become eligible to work at THI Studios as freelance engineers. THI aims to provide students not only with the knowledge and experience to become an engineer but also with the facilities to begin their careers and earn income. |
